Energy Monitoring Systems

 

We offer instrumentation, harware and software for energy monitoring. Our products are designed to improve energy efficiency and reducing energy costs. The PI range of Intelligent Power transducers, Power analysers, energy monitoring software and systems, monitor individual loads within a building or plant, and logs critical information e.g. where the energy is being consumed.

Our system enables companies to access a range of real-time and historical data including Voltage (Phase to Phase, Phase to Neutral), Current per Phase, Frequency, Power Factor, Power (kW, kVA, kVar), Max Demand (Kw), Peak Demand (Kw) and Energy (kWh, kVar).

The software installed on a dedicated or managers PC will scan the RS485 / Ethernet channels to acquire data. The system can monitor a range of power monitoring instruments by reading the power instruments communications output or direct Ethernet connection.

Alarm thresholds can be set to log specific alarm conditions such as under / over voltage, low power factor, high load etc. All alarm conditions are permanently logged to the internal historical data for analysis.

The data can then be passed up to a system and energy usage reports can be generated. Historic reporting and analysis can then be used to identify and improve energy inefficiencies throughout the building or plant. Further expansion to a SCADA or other Management Information System is also available.

A pilot system can be implemented in one area of your office or building to prove that the system reliably records where the energy is being used. This will allow high energy areas to be targeted for improvement. The energy monitoring system can be used to compare electricity supplier's billing figures, it will also provide the first step towards an overall Energy Management and Reduction Policy.
